Hi! My name is Erika von Kirchbach. I am a senior, currently at Libertyville High School.
I am also a Girl Scout who is working on the Gold Award. This is a project in which an individual girl tackles issues in her community and works for lasting change. It is also the highest achievement within Girl Scouts and holds a similar rank to the Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts.
My Gold Award project, this website, is dedicated to getting girls interested in STEM at an early age and focused on closing the gender gap in this field.
My goal is to build a website that can act as a resource to inspire girls, as well as peak their interest in STEM before societal norms and stereotypes harm their beliefs.
